Groton Fall Festival
The Groton Business Association organized the first Groton Festival in 2006. It was born from an idea to create a community-wide event that would attract artists, crafters and businesses and nonprofit organizations to display their wares and information at Poquonnock Plains Park in Groton. Since its inception, the Fall Festival has grown dramatically. We now have over 110 vendors participating and thousands of people from the local area (and some from the not-so-local area) attend.

Spooky Hike at Nature Center
The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center will be transformed into a world of spooktactular fun following winding and weird trails filled with spooks and creatures on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27, 2012 for the annual Spooky Nature Trail. You are invited to the Nature Center to take a daring, self-guided walk along haunted trails from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will also be Halloween treats, crafts and games, as well as enchanting appearances by resident snakes, turtles and frogs. Please note that the haunted trails will be dark and participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight.
